Back in the "Yay" Area

Love, love, love oysters. Unfortunately, my eating partner that day, Will, is not a fan like me. No fear, Hog Island has delectable items on its menu other than oysters. Try their grilled-cheese that's generously made with Cowgirl Creamery cheese. YUM. And their house clam chowder? Unbelieveable! Bacony and chock-full-o clams. The beautiful view from the Ferry Building doesn't hurt either. *smile*

Generously portioned brunch food! A perfect ending to a fund weekend spent in San Diego attending Comic-Con.

Sweet Lady Jane

The triple berry cake here is so light, unfussy, and lovely that my dear friend Joonki (a six-foot-two Korean fella) is known to mosey on over to Sweet Lady Jane's all by himself to enjoy the dessert paired with chamomile tea. It's not only the ladies who are enjoying LA's sweets... All you other dudes out there, man up! Eat cake.
