Get the Flank Steak Sandwich. I repeat. Get the Flank Steak Sandwich. It's incredibly delicious. The bread was freshly baked, the meat tender and juicy, and the onions were caramelized! For a good ten minutes, I thought I was eating an East Coast deli sandwich. At $7.99 a pop, you will receive from the deli a sandwich large enough to act as two meals. You will not regret this decision. So go, go, go!
P.S. No photo because I inhaled my sandwich.

Comfort Food
After accompanying Josh to pick up his new car, his FIRST car from his dealer in Fremont, we celebrated with a meal at Hana, located in San Jose, for a late meal of hand-pulled noodles in dan-dan sauce and handmade yaki-gyoza. Josh's commentary to come.

You Scream, I Scream
We all scream for ice-cream!
Went on a super long walk (by my standards, but not Josh's) up Clement after dinner to escape the heat of the apartment. I had hoped to drag Josh to Marco Polo's (another beloved homemade ice-cream joint) during our leisurely stroll, but it was getting late and Marco Polo's was nowhere near...
On our return route down Geary, we struck gold! We discovered the Inner Richmond gem, Joe's Ice-Cream. After braving a pretty long line, Josh and I ordered a single waffle cone filled with cookies & cream goodness. OMG, it was sooooooo good. Next time I'll know better. I ain't sharing!!!

Leggo my Eggo
The cougar cub (Josh) and the cougar (moi), have become expert egg poachers! After referencing several YouTube videos on egg poaching, we managed to produce the healthy egg creation pictured above--without the aid of vinegar! To be perfectly honest, our eggs were slightly over-cooked. Not enough yolk oozed out when stabbed. Boooo...
Oui! Oui! Oui!
Desperately Seeking Thai
Josh's friend highly-recommended a joint called Marnee Thai. Neither of us had been there, but both of us were excited to sample what the Yelp! population has deemed one of the top Thai restaurants in San Francisco. Josh, his friend Justin, and I ordered their Summer Rolls (light and refreshing), Panang Beef (powerful blend of curry and coconut milk flavors), Shrimp Pad Thai (no brainer), and some sort of fried fish special that was, as Josh simply put, "Yum." Their service was excellent and the ambience, low-key and "homey." I foresee a second visit before the end of this summer.
On a side note, a foodie friend of mine suggested that we also check out Marnee Thai's second location on 9th Avenue. Apparently they employ a "psychic" waiter who is capable of predicting what her patrons are going to order. Fantastic food paired with free dinner theater. A killer combo. Maybe next time.

Heaven in a Bowl
Josh and I recently moved into the Laurel Heights neighborhood of San Francisco for the summmer and on our second day in the Bay, Josh stumbled upon the acai bowl with granola and banana at the teeny-tiny Brazilian gem, SunStream Coffee. The bowl may not look like much, but the refreshing treat inspired the creation of this food blog.
